Gizem Akkoyunoğlu (1987, İzmir), one of the founders of Input/Output, graduated from Faculty of Fine Arts at Dokuz Eylül University in 2011, where she is currently studying for her master’s degree. Akkoyunoğlu lives, works in İzmir, and gives editorial support to İzmirKültür Pla+formu Girişimi. She uses 'Fantastic' elements in her works, dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty by creating a space of ambivalence that oscillates on that thin line between reality in order to create a sense of being. The manga aesthetic in her works, triggers the feeling of uncertainty in her practice, supports the atmosphere in which the artist bases her productions on trying to create the feeling of being stuck in between, where everything is possible.
