SANATORIUM will participate in Art Show: Galleries Coming Together 2026 with a solo presentation by Yunus Emre Erdoğan at booth A7. Organized under the umbrella of the International Association of Art Galleries (USGD), Art Show: Galleries Coming Together will take place at 2Plan Terminal – Etiler from 12–15 February, with the main sponsorship of Yapı Kredi Private Banking. Following the preview on Thursday, 12 February, the fair will be open to the public from 13–15 February.
In Yunus Emre Erdoğan’s works, space, objects, light, and void emerge both as the subjects of painting and as instruments of thought. His compositions, carrying a quiet yet palpable tension, bring together intuition and experimentation, while the physical engagement with material transforms into the visibility of a conceptual realm.
In his recent works, the artist makes visible moments in which thinking itself is suspended—going beyond a mere search for composition through a practice of filling and emptying abstract surfaces. Erdoğan’s abstract works stand on the threshold between breathing and breathlessness, oscillating between an intensity focused on a single moment and the rhythm of multiplying instances. Dualities such as representation and escape from representation, remembering and forgetting, unity and multiplicity form the fields of tension within his practice.
