Editions Dubai'24

6 - 9 November 2024
Çağla Köseoğulları’s presentations for Editions Dubai consist of her ceramics and paper works with different materials. In the “Road” series, which includes ceramic sculptures, Köseoğulları explores the possibilities of folding clay as another way of reviving body memories. In her sculptures created by folding the clay that she planarized in various ways, the artist pursues the possibility to encounter the three-dimensional effects of her body movements. Köseoğulları's works on paper embody a dialogue between opposing forces, merging repetition with individuality. Her pursuit of balance unfolds through the juxtaposition of forms, and her exploration of continuity and transience. Each piece is a testament to the delicate interplay between mass production and singularity, where traces of previous works subtly influence each new iteration. In this rhythmic continuity, her works evoke a sense of wholeness, born from the creative tension of opposites—an ongoing meditation on the boundaries and harmonies of form, and meaning.
